Tress Sense!! – Haircare Tips

Hello!! 😀 How are you? 🙂

I have some amazing haircare tips that I would like to share with you guys!

When I was teenager I experimented with my hair a lot! Don’t we all like to do that? (Well in my case I had colored my hair pink and blue and orange and purple! Sigh!) :O

I was talking with my mom the other day and I told her about my hair fall problem (And I am just 22!! OMG! :O) and as you know ‘a mother knows best!’, she suggested me a few natural tricks that’ll not only stop the hair fall but also make it healthier. (Ah! I so needed that!)

And here it is, straight from my mom’s diary!

Hair Brushing:

Give your hair 80 - 100 strokes with a brush each night as it will increase your blood circulation.

Oiling:

I know this is one of the steps most people skip, but oiling is really necessary for your hair.

Ingredients:

a. Hibiscus Flowers -

If you have hair fall problem then hibiscus is the best remedy as it has a combination of calcium, phosphorous and vitamin C.Using Hibiscus flower juice regularly can easily restrict hair fall, dandruff and graying of hair. This is an age-old remedy for all those people who have been struggling for healthy hair that is free from all problems.

b. Coconut Oil  (preferably) -

Coconut oil stimulates hair growth by getting deep into hair follicles. It is natural and hence rich in antioxidants which are good for healthier hair. It also has anti-fungal and antibacterial properties.  Not many know about this but Coconut oil is a natural sunscreen. The good news is that coconut oil is safe and affordable.

These two ingredients can be used together for the best effects. Boil few hibiscus flowers in coconut oil. Filter and use this hair oil to control hair loss and thinning. Stimulate circulation by massaging head with oil. This will make your hair soft and silky.

Conditioning:

Mix a little amount of vinegar with warm water and rinse your hair with this solution. This will add shine to dull and lifeless hair. The acetic acid in vinegar helps in detangling hair and improves porosity. It also reduces frizz and also brings your scalp and hair to its ideal pH level. (Human hair and scalp oil naturally has a pH balance of 4.5 to 5.5).

Coloring:

Who doesn’t like naturally colored hair? - To add a reddish tinge to your hair, mix equal quantities of beetroot and carrot juice. Wet your hair and rinse it with the juice. Keep it for an hour and then wash it with cold water.

I hope this post is helpful to you all! Let me know if you would like to know more.

(P.S - Have you watched the trailer of Collateral Beauty? )

Have a good hair day and a great weekend.

Lots of love <3
