Hi guys! How have you all been? 🤗
It has been raining like cats and dogs since the past week. Grumble Grumble. 😤 Well that's Mumbai monsoon for y'all. And because of which I wear rubber slippers (I am really possessive about my shoes!) to office and hence the lack of OOTD posts. Office? Oh I started working full time. More about all that later. I know that there is so much to catch up on! *Sigh*
Coming back to this post! Back when I was in Cincinnati, a lot of my friends were really curious to know more about India. I had to answer questions like what's that golden thing on your nose (this is a funny one, I will tell you all about this incident soon!😂) and do you guys still have arranged marriages! And I really enjoyed sharing about my culture and knowing more about their's. But mostly they asked me, How is India? And I would be like umm it's too crowded, we have people literally everywhere!
Yesterday when I was in the car (trying to dodge the Ox coming from the opposite direction! 😂), looking outside the window and lost in my thoughts (I was not the one driving!) I noticed how colorful everyone's attire was! Every woman here is wearing jewelry no matter what financial background they are from! And how they don't shy away from wearing Clover Green, Bubblegum Pink and Lemon Yellow together (Color Blocking like a Bawse). Remember Jil Sander's spring 2011 collection? Every state has their own traditional attire and there is so much diversity that if I start writing about it, this post will never end. So from now on my answer to that question will be India is colorful! (Check out the Inspiration Board that I made!)
Since I had never shared my pictures in a lahenga on the Blog, I decided this was the right time. Also, I wore this during a festival celebration (I don't dress up like this all the time! LOL! But sometimes like this.) I hope you like my pictures! And I would love to know how you dress up in your country? 😊 Do you have any traditional clothing there? Let's share our cultures!
Until next time, 💕
